A diverse range of endangered, rare, and precious species have been documented, requiring conservation efforts. These include the black-shanked douc langur, Javan pangolin, green peafowl, Sumatran serow, and pig-tailed macaque. The pig-tailed macaque, the most commonly spotted species, has been captured 88 times across 22 camera trap sites. Notably, the Sumatran serow has been sighted for the first time in Vietnam’s dry deciduous dipterocarp forest. The Javan pangolin is a rare and threatened species, listed for priority protection. The black-shanked douc langur, an endangered species, falls under Group 1B, requiring priority protection as per Vietnamese regulations. Here, we see a red junglefowl, a vibrant species in the wild.
