Tea is an integral part of both cultures and symbolizes social connectivity. China, known as the birthplace of tea culture, and Vietnam, with its ancient tradition of tea, showcase the significance of tea in their societies. Whether it’s the ubiquitous tra da (iced tea) on Vietnamese street corners or the formal tea ceremonies, tea plays a pivotal role in bringing people together. It is a staple in hospitality, celebrations, and community-building, making it an ideal foundation for future cultural exchanges.
The event also showcased Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, famous for its jasmine tea culture. Additionally, the “red tourist routes” were highlighted, following President Ho Chi Minh’s footsteps in China. These routes emphasize the historical depth of the friendship between the two nations.
Nguyen Hoang Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, expressed his desire for both sides to embrace this opportunity to foster friendly cooperation, inspired by their shared love for tea culture. The association remains committed to supporting humanistic exchange activities, solidifying the bond between the people of Vietnam and China.
