Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) shared the exciting news about the daily international transit trains, MR1 and MR2, which will run between Gia Lam Station in Hanoi and Nanning Station in China. With a convenient schedule, train MR1 departs in the evening from Hanoi, arriving in Nanning the next morning. The return train, MR2, leaves Nanning in the late afternoon, reaching Hanoi early the next day. Efficient immigration procedures at Dong Dang Station in Vietnam and Bang Tuong Station in Guangxi, China, ensure a smooth journey.
Adding to the convenience, an extra direct train service between Hanoi and Beijing, China, is set to begin on May 27. This bi-weekly service departs from Hanoi every Tuesday and Friday evening, arriving in Beijing on Thursday and Sunday mornings, respectively. With China’s extensive international railway network, passengers can even venture to other countries.
The ticket prices are reasonable, with the Hanoi-Nanning route costing VND1 million (US$38) and the longer Hanoi-Beijing journey priced at VND9.3 million ($358). Vietnam Railway Corporation sweetens the deal with fantastic incentives, including free travel for children under four, discounts for children aged 4 to 12, and group discounts. Tickets are readily available at Hanoi, Gia Lam, Bac Giang, and Dong Dang stations.
