International visitors have been effusive in their praise for Hanoi’s unique blend of cultural heritage, culinary delights, traditional craft villages, and a nightlife that pulsates with energy. The sustained growth from established markets underscores Hanoi’s burgeoning popularity on the global tourism map.
Dang Huong Giang, the visionary Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, has outlined a strategic five-point agenda for the forthcoming months. This includes enhancing management efficacy, crafting diverse tourism products, fostering market collaborations, amplifying promotional endeavors, accelerating digital transformation, and fortifying oversight for an enhanced tourism ecosystem.
A key focus area is supporting heritage sites and cultural relic management units in crafting immersive cultural tourism experiences, with a special emphasis on nighttime tours, thereby enriching the city’s allure.
“The Hanoi Department of Tourism is committed to innovating tourism packages in untapped areas, including night tourism in Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts, adventure sports, experiential tours along the Red River, and virtual reality experiences,” asserted Giang.
Additionally, plans are afoot to forge interconnected routes and synergistic tourism packages. Proposed itineraries encompass spiritual and cultural sojourns from Hanoi to Ha Nam and Ninh Binh, as well as discovery and experience-centric journeys from Hanoi to Son La, Lao Cai, and Lai Chau, designed to forge mutually beneficial tourism alliances.
